Cosmetic tweaks to Tangled in Wires

Hi folks. Some noticeable cosmetic tweaks to the blog now that I'm no longer in the employ of The Saratogian: a new layout and color scheme using Blogger's new template designer. Turns out the feature was a bit more robust than I initially thought (the mistaken impression due to my missing a scroll arrow that led to more options. Oops!).

I'm most happy I was able to adjust the pixel width of the text column to mimic the width of the last version of the Saratogian template I was using (640 pixels wide). Now I don't need to readjust embedded media in older posts. Plus I like the wider column view for readability.

This photo shot on my BlackBerry doesn't do the light justice.
I also like this color scheme, which is pretty much one of the default selections in the template designer. In fact this shade of blue is pretty close to one I selected for the personal wordmark that I designed in the Intro to Graphic Design course I suffered through in my master's program at Syracuse University. If I can dig that up somewhere sometime, I'll post it.

I've got a few posts in the works (meaning they're percolating in my brain), but I figured the time was right to change the sheets here at the blog, so to speak. I'm currently without Internet access at my new digs in Ithaca, so I'm staying late at the office.

Right now I'm enjoying the gorgeous view of Cayuga Lake my (albeit temporary) office affords and the stunning light washing over the water, hills and practice fields right outside my window. I've noticed that quality about the light here several times already: simply amazing.
