Technological, spiritual harmony on a t-shirt

Buddha Bot, contemplating the intersection
of technology and faith.
In my revised blog description above, I refer to myself as a "wary tech convert." True. However, I recently acquired this t-shirt, which I think expresses my more optimistic views on technology and human society.

I like to hope we can achieve harmony with our machines, as opposed to the typical doomsday scenario embedded in my head thanks to pop culture. Perhaps the design can even represent a time when sentient machines follow our lead and embrace the very human need to seek solace, internal contemplation, and even spiritual development through meditation or other spiritual/religious expressions.

The design was available on one of my new favorite websites, TeeFury.com. Everyday, TeeFury features a design from a t-shirt artist. The catch is that it's available for just that day.

This is the first design I knew I wanted to snag for myself, but there's a few others I've missed out on, including Sunday's take on the Twitter Fail Whale in a Japanese-wave motif; and this Lost / Back to the Future mash-up (if only I'd discovered the site one day earlier!).

At any rate, as much as I enjoy my shirts and ties, at my core I'm a t-shirt and jeans guy. I also happen to be a t-shirt and jeans guy in need of new shirts to fill out my closet, so I'm glad I found this site, as they seem to have some really unique offerings. I like the one-day only gimmick, but it IS a little frustrating when you miss the opportunity to order a great design.

See any designs at TeeFury you wish you'd been able to get?
